New SoulCalibur V Details Emerge

Late last week, Namco Bandai revealed several new pieces of information regarding their upcoming weapon based fighter, SoulCalibur V. First and foremost, the title now has it’s release date set for January 31st 2012 for the US and February 3rd for Europe. A collector’s edition of the game will also be available, featuring a slew of bonus swag detailed below.

Last, but not least, a pair of trailers have confirmed the existence of two additional characters. Dampierre, the trickster con artist from the PSP title SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny, will be featured as a pre-order bonus character for an as yet unannounced retailer. Also, Ezio Auditore, hero of the Assassin’s Creed franchise from Ubisoft, will appear as a special guest character in all verions of the game.
