For those who pre-ordered Mass Effect 2 a while ago (like me), you might want to update your reservation. EA has just announced the Mass Effect 2 Collector’s Edition for Xbox 360 ($69.99) and PC ($59.99). Both versions hit shelves January 26 in North America and January 29 in Europe.

The Collector’s Edition is set to come with an art book, a Making-Of featurette, and the first issue of the Mass Effect: Redemption comic, all housed in a tin case. Just like with Dragon Age: Origins Collector’s Edition, Mass Effect 2‘s edition will also come with unique weapons and armor only available with this version of the sci-fi RPG game. So, provided you own a copy of Dragon Age: Origins Collector’s Edition, that’s two potential sets of unique armor Commander Shepard can be outfitted with.

As the resident BioWare fangirl, I’m obligated to scream “WANT!
