Victor’s Most Anticipated for 2010
2010 is looking to be another success for the gaming medium, with an impressive lineup of titles that look better and better the more we see of them. In overwhelming anticipation, I’ve decided to make a list of select games that are guaranteed to make me throw down some cash.
- Alan Wake/April 13th- After a prolonged development time, Remedy is finally ready to release their newest IP. With interesting light and dark gameplay mechanics and some awesome tech, let’s hope a delay doesn’t rear it’s ugly head.
- Bioshock 2/February 9th - 2k Marin’s sequel to the critically acclaimed Bioshock lets you return to Rapture as a Big Daddy, ’nuff said.
- Crackdown 2/May 1st - Being a huge fan of the original Crackdown, I almost crapped my pants when the sequel was announced at E3, though this time being helmed by Ruffian Games rather than Realtime Worlds.
- Epic Mickey/September 16th - A platformer with RPG elements and a morality system, Epic Mickey looks to correct the current image the mouse has by reintroducing his mischievous personality from yesteryear.
- Fable 3/November 1st - Peter Molyneux’s next revolutionary RPG set in the Fable universe promises Natal support, which has caught my full attention.
- The Grinder/TBA – High Voltage Software’s crack at a Left 4 Dead clone that has been recently announced to have gone multiplatform. Naughty, naughty HVS.
- Halo: Reach/Q4 2010 - It’s Halo. It’s Halo. It’s Halo. It’s Halo. Did I mention it’s Halo? Set as the prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo: Reach looks to truely launch the series into next-gen with a vastly improved engine.
- Red Steel 2/March 23rd - Despite mediocre reviews for the original, Red Steel 2 seems to have been improved in every conceivable way. It also fully supports Wii motion plus, which helps.
My 2010 is looking to be just as exciting as 2009. And 2008. Please, leave comments below telling me what you can’t wait for this year.

Great list. I’m totally robbing your idea of this list thing here for a blog post. I’ll be giving you full recognition of course =). BioShock 2 FTW!

Another great list bro! I guess I’ll have to actually finish Fable 2 before Fable 3 comes out!
