Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker demo hits Japan this Sunday

To coincide with the Japanese launch of PSP go, the second demo for Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker will be available for download via Japan’s PlayStation Store and Peace Walker‘s official site on Sunday, November 1.
According to IGN, this demo is based off of the Tokyo Game Show’s demo, but features more content, tweaked controls and “major differences in enemy AI and behavior and the CQC system.” Creator Hideo Kojima stated that the development staff for Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker hopes “to get player feedback and make further changes before Peace Walker’s final release next year.”
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker is set in 1974 in the wake of the Cuban Missile Crisis, and follows Naked Snake/Big Boss and his “Soldiers without Borders” company in Costa Rica attempting to stop an unknown military force from threatening the nation’s peace. The game’s setting falls between Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops (PSP) and Metal Gear (NES). Peace Walker is slated for a 2010 release.
The demo being released in Japan shouldn’t affect state-side fans from getting their hands on it. Chances are, though, the demo will only be in Japanese. Hopefully an English version will be available soon!
