***REVIEW WAS DONE WITH THE PC VERSION***

The Scoop: Over twenty years after the previous installment of the landmark film series Telltale Games brings about a new chapter in the Back to the Future franchise, this time in the form of an episodic adventure game series.

The Setup: When we last left off in Back to the Future: The Game, Marty was again being slowly removed from the primary time stream when history became altertered into a timeline in which his grandfather Arthur McFly was killed by the Tannen gang instead of Doc Brown. Now with little time to spare Marty needs to use the DeLorean to go back in time by six hours and avoid running into his past self to save his grandfather, prevent the Tannen gang from becoming a major crime syndicate, and stop another alternate 1985 from manifesting. I’m not gonna spoil anything, but the ending is awesome.

This game is virtually identical to the first episode, so I am going to only talk about a few little things, you can reference my original (consider that the main review) review here.

What’s Hot: The story in this episode is much more exciting than the first episode, not to say the first episode story wasn’t great, but it is a slight improvement.

The puzzles are a little more realistic to figure out without resorting to hints, which I didn’t need to use in this episode at all. There are also more of them, and they are a little more varied.

It’s a little longer than the first game, by maybe fifteen minutes to a half hour, I should have timed it.

What’s Not: It’s still really damn short.

Though you do go to a few new areas in this episode, it is pretty much largely spent in the same town square, and there are far less areas than in the first area. But I have a feeling all of that is going to change in episode 3.

Final Verdict: I just realized as I am typing this that in order for you to consider episode 2 you would have already had to buy the entire season of Back to the Future: The Game… So what are you waiting for, play it, it’s fantastic and you already paid for the damn thing.
