Brick-Force launches on Kongregate
Berlin-based online game developer and publisher Infernum is bringing the hit PC game Brick-Force to millions of new players on Kongregate, one of the leading online game platforms. The launch marks a new and important milestone for Brick-Force, as this is the game’s first major expansion in North America. Kongregate’s millions of hardcore gamers are now able to join the fun in this sandbox-shooter, dodging bullets and playing on one of the thousands of user-generated maps.
“We are confident that the Kongregate community will enjoy the game. Brick-Force found that Kongregate is the ideal partner to get greater exposure for the game, especially in North America, and we are extremely happy about the launch and collaboration,” said Andreas Weidenhaupt, CEO of Infernum.
“Brick-Force is a rare gaming combination bringing together a hardcore shooter with a fun and casual comedic game style,” said Jim Greer, CEO and co-founder of Kongregate. “A game like this transcends the typical genre’s making it universally appealing to the 15 million monthly core gamers on Kongregate. We are excited to have a uniquely styled title like Brick-Force on Kongregate.”
Brick-Force is a sandbox shooter for PC and Mac where players can create worlds and maps that they’ve always dreamed of, brick by brick. These virtual playgrounds can be shared with the community and used as the backdrop for fast paced shooter matches against fellow players or computerized opponents. This charming online game is built on the ‘Unity 3D’ engine and is playable via client or web browser. More than 1.5 million players have joined the community since the game launched in the summer of 2012 in multiple languages. Brick-Force is developed by the Korean team EXE Games, in co-production with Berlin-based developer and publisher Infernum. The first major update,”Brickstar“, was launched in October 2012 and blasted the game into outer space. Futuristic bricks, new skyboxes, outfits, weapons, and interactive building blocks were introduced into the game, along with adjustable gravity. Additional updates and a version for mobile devices are to be released later this year.
