Katanagatari volume 2

NIS America announced today that Katanagatari Volume 2 Premium Edition will be released this fall on September 20, 2011. Fans will once again be enraptured in the series with its breathtaking and distinguished artstyle beautifully projected via high-quality Blu-ray discs. Katanagatari Volume 2 Premium Edition will come packaged with 6 quests (episodes, approximately 50 minutes/episode) on 2 Blu-ray discs and 2 DVDs with a hard cover art book titled “The Epic of Shichika.”

About Katanagatari Vol. 2:
Yasuri Shichika and the Stratagemist Togame have reached the middle of their katana collection journey. Realizing that Togame has so far succeeded, Princess Denial initiates countermeasures to simultaneously help and hinder the woman she hates the most in the world. The final few katana are held by even more fierce and even more dangerous foes, not to mention the Maniwa Ningun, who grow more and more desperate to reclaim their village’s honor.

It is up to the power of Kyoto Ryu and Shichika to see this journey to its completion, conqueringwhat the Old Shogun tried to accomplish with an army of thousands. His only weapons are his fists and Togame’s always-devious stratagems.

About the Bonus artbook, The Epic of Shichika:

Premium showcase package with a full color 32 page hardcover art book, featuring vivid, unique art work that conveys a story by itself, quest guides including character information, and song lyrics from Quests 7 through 12. A detailed glossary was added to the art book in order to provide a deeper understanding of Japanese history and the traditional terminology used
throughout the show.
