Target deal – League of Legends Collector’s Edition $19.99
One of the forum members at CAG has informed us that the League of Legends Collector’s Edition was on sale at Target for $19.99. I headed over to a local Target to check it out for myself and there were a few copies left and it seems that the $19.99 price tag is the new price. League of Legends is a “play 4 free” type of game, where you can purchase additional content with either in-game points or buying points (some content can only be purchased with money).
Check out the contents of the League of Legends Collector’s Edition:
- $10 of Riot Points for use in the store
4 Summoner Ruins
- Greater Mark of Malice (Improves your critical chance)
- Greater Seal of Vitality (Increases your health per level )
- Greater Glyph of Knowledge (Increases your mana per level)
- Greater Quintessence of Revival (Decreases your Death Timer)
20 Playable Champions
- Alistar
- Amumu
- Annie
- Cho’gath
- Evelynn
- FiddleSticks
- Janna
- Kayle
- Malphite
- Morgana
- Nasus
- Rammus
- Ryze
- Sivir
- Teemo
- Tristana
- Tryndamere
- Veigar
- Warwick
- Zilean
While all of these items can be unlocked in the game just by playing it, buying the collector’s edition will save you A LOT of time and points! In reality, since you’re getting $10 worth of riot points (used to by items in the store) you are only paying $10 to unlock 20 champions and 4 Tier 3 ruins.
And after playing about 6 games over the past few days I can definitely say that this pack is well worth it. Earning enough points to unlock just ONE champion can take a lot of games. Plus, having access to 20 champions right off the bat is great for new players as you have access to a variety of play styles and give you a feel for what’s out there.
Some people have reported that the League of Legends Collector’s Pack is also $20 at Best Buy or GameStop, so it’s worth checking out if your Target is out of copies. And for price comparisons, Amazon has this for $43.
